Musician, sound technician and producer, Janja began his studies with his father, João Parahyba, one of the greatest references in Brazilian percussion. From an early age, he became used to instruments of an Afro-Brazilian matrix, also taking an interest in the guitar. Throughout his career, he has always acted combining his different skills, sometimes as a guitarist and percussionist with the Trio Mocotó, sometimes shooting samples, bases and playing percussion, as in works with Skowa and the Mafia and with the Pernambuco rapper Zé Brown. His works are heavily influenced by producers Mitar Subotic (Suba), Smoke City and BiD, among others.
